A quiet place within it all.

The theme
I didn’t set out to create a collection about serenity.
It found me at a time when I needed it.
Life has felt heavier than usual lately, and I found myself returning to photographs I’ve made over the years. I kept stopping at the same kinds of moments: soft light, quiet landscapes, places where the world seemed to slow down for a little while.
For a little while, looking at them made everything else feel quieter too.
That became Serenity.
These photographs aren’t about escaping the difficult parts of life, or pretending everything around us has to be right before we can find some peace. Sometimes serenity exists alongside uncertainty, sadness, and change—a small clearing in the noise where we can simply be.
These images are an invitation to spend a little time there.
This is the first collection of my photography I’ve offered as fine art prints. There is something meaningful to me about beginning with these.
Maybe you’ll find some of what I found in them.

I went out early that morning with no photograph in mind. I was simply going for a walk with my camera—practicing, paying attention, seeing if anything caught my eye.

Beyond the Fog
We woke up to a completely foggy morning, but decided to make the hike anyway. On the way there, I joked, “Maybe we’ll get above it.” I was mostly kidding—but part of me was hoping.

Snow was falling gently over the foothills near home, so I grabbed my camera and went out to see what I might find. It was so quiet that morning, I could actually hear the snow as it fell and hit the ground.
